Samskip is a global logistics company offering transport and related services by land, sea, rail and air. Offering environmentally friendly solutions to transport and supply chains, we put particular focus on reliable, cost-efficient services and top customer support.

Samskip is one of the largest transport companies in Europe with operations in more than 30 countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia. It employs around 1.500 people worldwide.

Samskip is headquartered in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and has expanded rapidly since its establishment in Iceland in 1990 through organic growth and acquisitions.

Samskip’s transportation and logistics activities focus mainly on container transport in Europe, transport in the North Atlantic, temperature-controlled transport worldwide, as well as freight forwarding and large-scale transport in Europe.
